Although the fish do not bite the sinker, the sinker catches the fishs’ attention, attracting it towards your bait and as a result helps you catch more fish. 

Egg sinkers are ideal for Carolina rigs, and slip float rigs. Use this egg sinker together with a sure catch/ mini sure catch rig to form a carolina rig. I use live or cut baits such as mullet or shrimp. Mud minnows work especially well! 

Use a slip float rig with the egg sinker to drift a live shrimp and other baits naturally through moving water. This method is one of the most effective ways to fish creeks and rivers with moving water. 

Use this rig with small baits such as live shrimp, minnows or crabs. Ideal for catching fish that are feeding on smaller baits. The small hook and light line allow for small baits to swim naturally without looking conspicuous to big predator fish. It is ideal for use as a freeline rig, carolina rig or on a float rig w/ small live or dead baits such as shrimp, fiddler crabs, minnows, clams and squid. Our favorite bait to use with this rig is live shrimp and live mud minnows. Put a split shot on and a small piece of cutbait, and you will have countless hours of fun.
